- Recommendations regarding the identified grey areas in the ABS, especially regarding the scope of the international regime.
- Recommendations for measures beyond legislation to assist companies to engage in ABS and to conform to ABS requirements.
- A report that will be transmitted to the CBD Secretariat for distribution as an information document for the 5th meeting of the Working Group on ABS.
- The workshop results will feed into a side event during one of the next meetings of the Working Group on ABS. The side event is seen as a way to publicise the recommendations to a broader audience in preparation for COP 9, Germany 2008.
