The ABS Capacity Development Workshop for Eastern and Southern Africa, co-hosted by the Institute for Biodiversity Conservation 28th September to 3rd October 2009 at the Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The workshop was hosted by the Institute for Biodiversity Conservation in partnership with the ABS Capacity Development Initiative for Africa. It brought together a multitude of stakeholders from the region to exchange views and to identify regional priorities, to feed into the annual pan-African workshop. The objectives of the workshop have been designed to further the ongoing capacity development process and to strengthen the sub-regional processes on ABS in Africa.
