Presentation of draft recommendations

Four drafting groups were created to develop recommendations on the four areas focussed on in the workshop. These four areas are:

1. Documenting traditional knowledge
2. Capacity building recommendations
3. Regional coordination
4. CEPA recommendations

After the  presentations on the recommendations were made, participants were divided into four groups to discuss these recommendationsand make additions or changes to it to develop a final version of the recommendations.

Recommendations on TK Documentation and Capacity Building will go to the Aafrican negotiators who are currently negotiating the IRABS and will be negotiating TK and Capacity Building at ABSWG 8 in Montreal.

Recommendations on Regional Coordination and CEPA will go to governments, funders and in-country actors.
