Objectives

The purpose of the workshop was to support the African Group in their preparations for ABSWG 6:

The first day of the workshop and briefing consisted of the following elements:

1. Regional approaches to ABS policies and
2. Technical briefing on and discussion of the agenda items

The second day was dedicated to internal coordination of the African Group to prepare the up-coming negotiations.
